DESCRIPTION

The L7800 series with three terminals positive
regulators is available in TO-220, TO-220FP,
TO-220FM, TO-3 and D2PAK packages and
different fixed output voltages, making it usable in a
wide range of applications. These supervisors can
provide local card scheme, allowing the
distribution problems associated with a single point
regulation. Each type uses internal power
limiting, thermal shutdown and safe environment
protection, making it essentially indestructible. if
sufficient heat dissipation is ensured
supply more than 1A output current. Although designed
mainly as fixed voltage regulators, these
devices can be used with external components to
get adjustable voltage and currents.
